Resources for Teachers and Learners
"ESOL" is a multi-billion pound business.
According to the British Council, there were in 2019 1.5 billion
students of English in the world. And consequently there are also
hundreds of thousands of websites devoted to the learning of English as
a second or foreign language. These vary in quality from the abysmally
poor to the excellent! Here are a few of the good ones.
Looking for good EFL/ESL websites on the Internet can be a daunting
task; there are just so many of them. The fact that an English study
webite shows up well in a Google search does not necessarily mean it is
a good website. Conversely, there are plenty of very good websites that
never show up well in a Google search, since they do not have savvy
Internet search marketeers to promote them. There are plenty of large
English learning sites that are well marketed but contain little
original content, and on the other hand plenty of small websites that
offer good content but remain well below the radar as far as online
searches are concerned.
This page lists just a small selection of selected EFL or
ESL websites, and other websites that may be useful for teachers and
students.

learning English, let us know. Linguapress will check it out, and maybe
add it to this list of useful resources.
